What we collect, who sees it, how to delete it

Effective 5 October 2026 · Applies to the Bebek Molada mobile app for iOS and Android

The short version

You need an account to use Bebek Molada. Your account and profile (your name and age, your children's names and birth dates) are visible only to you. The spots you add to the map and the confirmation notes you leave are visible to other users together with your name; that is what the app is for. Your location is used on your device to centre the map and is never saved on our servers. The app is supported by ads served by Google AdMob, which collects data about your device. You can delete your account at any time.

What we collect

Account

To sign up you provide an email address and a password. These are held by Google's Firebase Authentication. We never see your password. Your email address is used to verify your account, reset your password and answer support requests.

Profile

After signing up you enter:

• Your name and age
• Your children's names and birth dates (a child's age is calculated from this)

Your profile is stored in Google's Cloud Firestore database, and security rules make it readable only by your own account. Other users cannot see your children's details.

Spots you add and confirmations

When you add a break spot, its name, location, amenities (baby room, nursing area and so on), place type, address and your note are saved. The account that added it and the name on your profile are saved with the spot as its “Added by”.

When you confirm a spot, your name, your optional note and the time are saved. How many times you have confirmed it is also stored, so the same visit cannot be counted twice.

Spots, the “Added by” name and confirmation notes are visible to other signed-in users. You don't have to use your real name; you can enter any name when you create your profile.

Reports, blocks and terms acceptance

When you report a spot or note we store which content you reported, the reason, your account and the time. Only we can see reports; the reported person cannot see who reported them. The list of people you block and the date you accepted the terms are stored with your account and visible only to you. Deleting your account also deletes your block list and terms acceptance.

Location

If you grant location permission, your device's location is used only on your device to centre the map and show nearby spots. It is not sent to or stored on our servers. Without permission you can still pan the map by hand.

To load nearby spots the app asks the database for the area of the map on your screen; these queries are not logged.

Third-party services

• Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) stores your account, profile and the spots. Data may be held on Google servers outside Turkey. Firebase privacy information.
• OpenFreeMap serves the map imagery. Your device downloads the tiles for the area you are viewing, so your IP address reaches that service.
• Apple Maps / Google Maps open with the selected spot's coordinates when you tap “Directions”. From there, that app's privacy policy applies.
• Google AdMob serves ads; details below.

Advertising

Bebek Molada is free and supported by advertising served by Google AdMob. To select and measure ads, Google may collect:

• Your device's advertising identifier
• Approximate (coarse) location, derived from your IP address
• Device and diagnostic information, such as model, operating system and crashes
• Your interaction with the ad — whether it was shown, viewed or tapped

We do not share your profile or your children's details with ad networks. Google handles its data under its own terms: see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from apps that use its services. We receive only anonymous, aggregate revenue reports.

Your choices

• On iOS, the app asks for tracking permission. Decline and the advertising identifier is not used, so ads become non-personalised. Change your answer any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• On Android, reset or delete the advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads.
• Location permission can be turned off in your device settings at any time.
• Your profile is shown in the app's Profile tab; write to us if anything needs correcting.

How long we keep it

Your account and profile are kept until you delete your account. When you do, your profile and sign-in details are deleted immediately and permanently. Spots you added and confirmation notes stay, because they are part of the shared map; write to us if you want those removed too. See Delete Account for details.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it with no one other than the service providers listed above, except where the law requires us to disclose it to authorities.

Children

Bebek Molada is made for parents and is not directed at children. Your children's names and birth dates are stored only when you enter them, and only for you to see. We do not use them for advertising and do not share them with anyone.

Your rights

Laws such as Turkey's KVKK (Law No. 6698) and the GDPR give you the right to access, correct and delete your personal data. You can view your profile and delete your account in the app. For anything else, write to the address below and we will respond within 30 days. For advertising data, use the controls above or contact Google directly.

Changes to this policy

If a future version changes what the app collects or shares, this page is updated before that version is released, and the effective date above changes with it.
